Tick-Tock! Empty Tick-Tock!

North Blue, Mendo Town:::.
Night, 8:37PM::.

A full moon sat high above the town of Mendo and it's militant setting. With a large camp of soldiers and constant deliveries making their way in and out of town at all hours it was considered busy unless you were one of many to find their way into the booze side of town which always seemed to have some sort of trouble brewing. Sometimes caused by the soldiers themselves.

News of the newest shipment had reached the ears of many men and something interesting would be on the rise along with the teams of many men who all wanted a piece of the pie that was finding its way at this very moment through the town of Mendo and it past it's militant contacts.

Sweat ran down the face of Wilfred as he worked hard on practicing his new fighting style. It was a style he'd spent time working on for the past week trying to figure out more ways for himself to be an efficient fighter and deal out a serious amount of damage. It wasn't always easy to overpower others or even deal out much, so if he could find a way to do so he would.

He'd already figured out a few moves and even a few good grapples, some of which he hoped he could one day use, but only time would tell. Breathing heavily he stopped and took a moment to himself to have a breather. He'd been at it for a good few hours and things were taking their toll.

Finding a spot to sit down, Wilfred wiped the sweat from his brow with a small handkerchief and sat on a crate. He thought about how tomorrow would be a new day and he could set out to get his hands on the package that was arriving just like everybody else.

If he got his way then he could finally get his hands on a boat and leave this rotten place. It was time this pirate found himself his own ship instead of rolling around aboard courier ships exchanging favours for rides.

The sound of coins clashing into other coins was always a warm and welcome sound but when it was the sound of a dozen feet rushing after you it sent chills down the spine of the Arctic Demon. The very same chills which found their way down the spines of the soldiers who dared square off against the three blades of Genzo Noroi.

Having arrived on this island unarmed Genzo had a way about him that he could always find himself a set of blades and he'd done so very quickly. Not the best or even not the strongest Genzo had acquired three standard issue Naval soldier's swords of which would do the job he intended for them to do for the time being.

He'd been caught breaking, entering & robbing an establishment upon this night of all and as he'd made his escape a dead end stood in his way. But dead ends are only dead ends for so long. With the soldiers closing in and the Arctic Bandit facing the soldiers it sent chills down their spines and fear into their hearts. Not everyone had heard of the man branded a demon, but those who had knew some horror stories and not just the ones left behind, but those that were continuing to grow and spread.

Leaving three severely wounded bodies and blood splattered over the alleyway, the Arctic Bandit made his way from the alleyway to his hideaway. A small room in a local tavern. Entering through the window on the second floor, Genzo removed his bandit attire as quickly as he could manage and slid it back into the small sack he carried with him that hung from his belt.

Dropping the bag of coins on his bed Genzo grinned as he placed a cigarette between his lips and lit it.

It was time to rest for the night. Tomorrow he had big plans and hopefully he'd have a new a new sword too.

Mendo Town jail, a small six-celled building it had seen its fair share of drunkards and ne'er do wells but its current single occupant was none of these but then what would she be called? A monster was the favorite pick for most.

Just the day before a prisoner transport ship had pulled into port for restocking and repair, strangely they only held one prisoner who was moved to the jail. The newest recruit to the jail had seen them being brought in but couldn't help but wonder why they would take such precautions all for one prisoner,a woman at that.

She had come in, bound tightly in a straightjacket keeping their arms bound tightly only to then have each of her hands enclosed in some kind of full handed cuff for each hand, even her face had an iron facemask covering the lower half of her face, hiding it completely from view, a few small holes that only thing allowing her to breath. She had come in sedated and from the bits of info, he had heard from the marines that had delivered her she had been for most of the trip.

So here he sat bored out of his mind almost dozing off like his partner had already, the lazy bastard had drunk on the job and until now had gotten away with it! But the boy grinned at the idea of reporting him to their boss when morning came and maybe getting promoted to the day hours.

These thoughts he was then ripped from by what sounded to be the deep growls of a beast. Darting upwards he reached for his sword but at a quick glance around he saw no such beast. Then it came again and he realized it was coming from the cell holding the woman...it almost sounded like..a bear?

Curiosity overtook the young man's training and he made his way to the iron door listening for any movement, no sound came from inside. Pulling out his keys for the door the clang of the heavy lock rang out down the strangely quiet hall before he slowly opening the door and stepped inside. Light flooded the dark room but he saw no beast, just the girl sleeping on the cot. He turned to leave only to feel a chill go up his spine slowly turning to come face to face with the woman her red hair framed the pale skin of her face and made the large blue eyes she had pop all the more, but more importantly it was the look she held in those eyes. Hunger, hunger like he had never seen, this was not the hunger of a human but of a mindless beast, a monster. He had just been about to reach for his sword,he would never get that far though,as the last moments of his life were this, the sound of the straight jacket ripping,a sudden painful blow to his head and the last thing he'd ever see as his vision started to fade, those same hauntingly blue eyes so full of hunger.

Annie was awake, she was free and soon...she'd get to eat, the city a buffet just waiting for her. Already her mouth watered.

Making his way towards the harbour Wilfred sat on the rooftops of a building eyeing up the docks and the ships too. As he inspected each one from what he could see Wilfred made a few mental notes.

The first was a standard Naval ship which was nothing special unless you wanted to piss of a notorious Marine Captain who had a thing for cutting of his victim's ears. The second was a courier ship that had only just arrived and was fitted with no form of defence which wasn't ideal for a pirate ship. Third was a pirate ship belonging to the Gear Head pirates. Fourth was another pirate ship thing one belonging to Lava Lion Pirates.

None of these were a good fit as they either were only going to piss off allot of people, too small, not fit for purpose or he just didn't like them. It would be time to find himself a shipwright who could build him the right kind of ship.

Heading back to the bar Wilfred was originally at he planned on catching up on some rest so he could be ready for the morning.

Spending the night in bed thinking about the next day, Genzo allowed dreams of a new weapon to pass through his mind. With a smile on his face he lay in bed with his swords resting against the wall. The package would be arriving in town at roughly ten O' clock.

The Arctic Bandit would arrive on the scene attack from above kill the guards quickly slice open the roof, break the case open and make his escape with the new sword he'd have stolen.

Tomorrow was going to be a good day and nothing was going to get int he way of that or stop his plan from coming to fruition. He wouldn't let it.

Almost, Almost! maybe if she just..? The clatter of keys falling to the floor for the countless time in the last thirty minutes earned a muffled scream of rage from Annie. Damn these stupid handcuffs, the covering on her hand made it impossible to pick anything up, let alone get this facemask off!

She in a rage threw a punch at the wall only to watch the metal of the cover cave from the force and the hinges looking about to pop. She looked over it, then a plan formed into her mind, causing a hidden grin to appear on her face before she drew back her arm ready to launch another punch-one with all her strength behind it this time.

A while later Annie was walking down the street now cuff and mask free, working her jaw that was painfully stiff from lack of movement. She had traded in the ruined straightjacket for a tank top and short shorts. Annie never liked to be confined by her clothing if she could help it, her bear suit did most of that already. She just figured the shop's broken window would be a small thing to fix, and no one would notice one little outfit missing right?

Her stomach growled loudly but she tried to ignore it, without her suit and bat there was no way shed get a good meal and a quick kill. Looking towards the docks she knew her things were being held on the ship she had come on. Trophies took as a reminder of her capture. It was time to get them back and raise some hell while she was at it.

Laying his head down at the roof of a bar beneath a blanket of stars Wilfred looked into the night sky with a smile on his face. His journey was just about to begin and the descent into a life of piracy was only just a stone's throw away. Closing his eyes to wait for the morning to come and speed up it's process Wilfred allowed the sandman to drag him into the land of nod for a foreseeable future and cast him to a land of wonder before reality came a knocking and thrust him into the role of not just a captain of his own life, but captain of his own crew.

He would find crew members a ship and get stronger as his journey demanded it. It was time he make something of himself and show the world just what they had to fear from the Mad Cog.

Tick-Tock! HVPxxaJ

It was becoming difficult to sleep with the anticipation of what was awaiting him and as the night continued proceeding at a snail's pace Genzo found himself sitting on the edge of his bed sharpening his swords. Running the blade along a sharpening rock the sounds would remind Genzo of his past and how he would spend time before an ambush doing just this.

It was a wonder how his life had become so different since then and as he thought about the journey he'd gone on and what he'd accomplished in his life it was far too much to comprehend all he knew was that wherever his journey took him didn't matter as long as he was successful in collecting a nice little collection of cursed swords and proving himself to be the master of one | two & three sword style.

Feeling the adrenaline coursing through his body, Genzo struggled to keep himself busy and couldn't sleep. He'd been sharpening his blades for so long he could slice through a grain of rice by simply throwing it at the blade, he'd gotten to a point where he needed to figure out something to do with himself as this would just drive him crazy.

The call of the night was simply too strong.

The Arctic Demon was afoot once more and this time he was looking for adventure where ever it might be.

The docks, a place for both ships coming in to provide goods for the town and for ships to take trade from the town back to...where ever they came from. Annie was there to pick up goods, the only thing different was they already belonged to her. Her bear suit, her bat and her backpack containing many other things were her goals. The problem? They were being held on a marine ship, the same ship she had been held on for...what weeks? Time blurs together when one is stuck in the same cell staring at the same walls for hours on end. But be it she was crazy before, or the time alone had driven her so, the plan she had come up with could only be cooked up by such a person.

She did her best to keep to the shadows on the ship, her footsteps strangely quiet as she dodged marine recruits, struggling not to just go for the kill with so many tasty options around. After over an hour of slow sneaking, Annie made it below deck and started looking through boxes trying to find her stuff. Of course, it was in the final box and just as she found it and pulled out a bubblegum pink bear suit and she squeals in happiness turning she started slipping on the suit,it wasn't until she was about to put on the head that she saw him, a recruit no more the 15 maybe 16 and holding a mop, cabin boy most likely.

"....Hey"  She says before she noticed the thing in his other hand...a whistle. She held out a pawed hand and grinned only to see the younger kids face pale at the sight and for once she stopped smiling "Listen, kid,-" She slowly started to move towards him "We can do this the easy way...or the hard way, you can pretend you never saw me and we can both live longer happier lives...hows that sound?" She was almost on top him now, almost within reach of the whistle, but just as it was in her grasp the kid snapped out of his fear and taking a large breath brought the whistle to his lips and blew as hard as he could. Time seemed frozen for a moment before suddenly above deck loud alarms started going off, Annie sighed before putting on the bears head and reached for her bat bringing it high above her head before swiftly downwards towards the head of the cabin boy

"Hard way it is"

Tick-Tock! HVPxxaJ

Climbing out of the window and instead the town, the Arctic Demon found his way into the streets of which were empty except for the sounds of good cheer from pubs all round and the occasional naval officer.

With all swords holstered and no real plan in mind, Genzo made his way down the street looking for something to quench his thirst for adventure and keep his constant flow of adrenaline at bay for the time being.

It was at this point his ears picked up on a sound, one of such volume that it pierced his ear drums with the call to excitement. Grinning from cheek to cheek, he picked up the pace, slid a cigarette between his lips and lit it with a match which was quickly discarded into a bin he sprinted past.

Inhaling this Arctic Demon placed his hands just over the hilts of his swords. Tonight it seemed had perked up just a little bit and he was ready to involve himself in anything.

The whistle seemed to be coming from the docks and from what his eyes could tell in the darkest of nights with such little lighting was the the whistle that had been so loud had radiated from a Marine war ship.

Things were definitely getting more exciting.

Annie was grinning madly as she looked at the crowd before her, at least two dozen stood before her back thankfully faced a wooden wall. "My my all this for little old me? Oh, boys, you should have!"

There was a sound of her claws unsheathing before she dashed forward to the nearest grunt and before he could react she had slammed her claws into his throat watching him struggle and try to comprehend what just happened as his blood spilled to the floor. As she ripped them away her bear suit was covered in a spray of blood, the iron smell of the red liquid now filled the air that made Annie's mouth water. She was hungry so damn HUNGRY! Bring up her bat she then slammed the massive spiked piece of iron into the now lifeless boys head, the sound of tearing flesh and snapping bone was heard before the now decapitated head was sent flying into the air and off the ship onto the docks out of sight.

This had happened in a matter of seconds and the rest of the marines were rendered speckless, they hadn't seen the brutality that was Annie, they only reason she had been captured was from the dumb luck of stumbling across her sleeping form. But they soon snapped out of their shock at the laughter.

Annie was laughing "Holy fuck did you see that!? I don't think I've ever don't that before! It's gone! The crowd goes wild! YEAH!"It was then another Marine stepped up his fear being overcome with rage "You bitch is this all just a game to you?!" He shouted only to have Annie stop laughing suddenly "That isn't the proper way to speak to a lady...I should rip that nasty tongue of yours out for using such words...yes I think that's what I'll do."

Playtime was over, it was time for the real fun.

Tick-Tock! HVPxxaJ

Speeding towards the naval ship with his hands at the ready for who or whatever would get in his way Genzo watched as the ship grew bigger the closer he got. Leaping from the ground to a crate and using it to propel himself higher, Genzo quickly found himself standing atop a small warehouse that storages cargo at the docks. He approached the edge with caution and a cigarette between his lips which he inhaled on before quickly exhaling.

He could see the small gang plank leading aboard the ship with two soldiers standing guard. Both seemed a little rattled and gunfire could be heard bursting into life aboard the ship along with the sound of growling and loud bangs.

Grinning Genzo watched as the two soldiers turned their backs to look towards the ship. Both seeming a little frightened they had their rifles at the ready and could be seen shaking in their boots.

These two would be a piece of cake, but would the creature aboard?

Leaping from the roof top towards a slanted roof top and sprinting down it Genzo quickly drew attention as the Arctic Demon. In disguise with two swords drawn before the two marines even had the chance to squeeze the trigger on his rifle, Genzo was already on top of them.

Both blades drawn he exhaled a large puff of smoke obscuring their sight before he delivered finishing blows to them both by letting their heads run free.

Rolling from the ship their bodies hit the dirt just in time for Genzo's feet to carry him up the gang plank and aboard the ship.

There was a smell of death aboard the ship, one Genzo knew all too well, that and fear. Something was clearly going on aboard the ship, something of a dangerous nature. Hopefully fingers crossed it would be enough to help him sleep and prepare for tomorrow, but only time would tell. Looking over the deck he could see marine issued weaponry scattered over the deck along with blood and what appeared to be paw prints.

Inhaling he took a closer look to see the smushed up face of one marine who it seemed had been unlucky enough to have been on the receiving end of some large weapon.

Exhaling Genzo lead the trail of bloody foot prints which lead from the bodies aboard the deck. Maybe if he was lucky he'd find them and maybe that would be what granted him his heavily sought after rest.
